Xzavier, the recipient of the Outstanding Food and Beverage Employee of the Year, shows his guests, coworkers, and family how much he cares with his words and actions every day. He originally took a job in the hospitality industry to help pay for college but soon discovered he truly loves the industry and the inspiring career path it has created!

This self-starter has a real talent for calming hotel guests during stressful situations and ensuring they receive the best customer service. Xzavier has an impressive track record of pulling the food and beverage team together to help them overcome challenging situations.

One night, a party of 60 walked in one hour before closing. With the kitchen short-staffed, Xzavier took charge, assigning a bartender to help in the kitchen, and a banquet employee to help serve the tables while he acted as bartender, host and processed all the tickets. The guests were very satisfied, and the team got through a challenge together!

On another occasion, an intoxicated guest started yelling in the lobby that she lost her sister but refused to look for her sister herself and demanded that the staff go and look instead. After calming the woman down, Xzavier went looking for the sister in her guest room, then the corridors, parking lot, restaurants, and even to neighboring hotels. Our awardee stayed two additional hours past his shift and thankfully found the guest's sister and returned her safely to her family.

Furthermore, Xzavier consistently supports his family financially and has dedicated much of his time outside work to helping a family member with mental health issues heal and build up their self- esteem. Xzavier is an amazing individual who manages to balance these personal responsibilities and makes time to uplift coworkers with every opportunity he gets.
