Julie has been with the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center on a full-time basis since 2004, although holding a few different roles over that time, she has served primarily as the group housing coordinator for the past several years.

She knows how to extend that magical hospitality touch, because in addition to serving guests at the Gaylord Palms, she has also been a part-time Cast member at Walt Disney World for over 25 years.

There are many challenges in group housing, as just one small error on a group block can have huge ripples through the client’s entire program and the property. So, Julie meticulously pays attention to details to ensure the group blocks are managed correctly and without error. She has received numerous compliments and accolades from clients who thank her for her exemplary work and for making the process so simple.

Julie’s impact is felt beyond the resort as well. While the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games were being held in Central Florida last year, Julie volunteered over 100 hours of her time to the event.

Her involvement began several months before the athletes arrived, as she participated on Teams calls, reviewing the event, logistics and process for the opening ceremonies, as well as the medal distribution. Her time and efforts contributed greatly to the success of the games.

Whether handling her duties onsite at the resort, creating magical experiences at local theme parks or welcoming hundreds of thousands of people to a major regional event, Julie demonstrates every day that she is the Heart of Hospitality.
