High School Outreach
Since 2002, CFHLA’s Lodging and Allied Members have actively supported local schools through our Adopt-A-School program. However, several middle and high schools with hospitality and culinary magnet programs did not have strong connections with CFHLA and its members.
In 2022, this Committee began working closely with local school boards in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties to enhance outreach efforts. By developing new initiatives such as site visits, mentorship, and expanded internship opportunities, we are strengthening our commitment to the future workforce of the hospitality and tourism industry.
Committee members provide students with the knowledge, skills, and foundation for a successful hospitality career, and aim to be a key resource for Central Florida’s hospitality and culinary CTE programs. Through strategic partnerships with school administrators and industry leaders, we provide hands-on learning experiences, guest speaker engagements, and direct pathways to career opportunities, ensuring students have the support needed to thrive in the industry.
If you have any questions and/or would like to participate, please contact CFHLA Director of Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships Melanie Anesh, at 407-313-5022 or melanie.anesh@cfhla.org.
