Remembering the Life of Harris Rosen

The entire hospitality and tourism industry mourns the loss of a hospitality giant and incredible philanthropist, Mr. Harris Rosen. Mr. Rosen’s impact on the hospitality and tourism industry has been profound, not just in Central Florida, but throughout the entire word.

Mr. Rosen was truly a visionary who created thousands of jobs, generously gave away millions in college scholarships to families in need in Tangelo Park and Parramore, created a healthcare clinic to help his employees stay healthy, supported disaster relief efforts every year to families across our state, and so much more.

Mr. Rosen was named the CFHLA Lodging Member of the Year in 1990, and his unwavering support for UCF's Rosen College of Hospitality Management will continue to empower students to seek successful careers for decades to come. We are grateful for Mr. Rosen’s extraordinary contributions to our community, and his legacy will always represent the essence of a determined business and community leader, with an amazing heart for charity and service to others.

On behalf of the Central Florida Hotel and Lodging Association, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the entire Rosen family, his team members at Rosen Hotels & Resorts and all of the lives he has impacted throughout his career. Harris Rosen's legacy will continue to live on through all of us and his philanthropic spirit will never be forgotten .
