Leadership Mentoring
In 2022, the CFHLA Diversity Committee's Leadership Mentoring Subcommittee was focused on developing and creating a brand-new and innovative leadership mentoring program, that would help build more diverse leaders within the hospitality industry moving forward. In the inaugural class, CFHLA had 16 mentors help eight rising stars advance in their careers, by providing skill-development opportunities to a diverse group of mid-level leaders from various lodging and allied member companies across Central Florida.
During 2024, the program has continued to grow. Fourteen individuals graduated from the most recent class. Each participant was mentored by at least two industry professionals throughout the year. Furthermore, the participants worked through the Leadership Mentoring Program to develop additional transferable leadership skills, including leadership management, public speaking, networking, conflict resolution and emotional intelligence.
Congratulations to this year's graduates and to the 30 mentees who made time to invest in the future leadership of our Hospitality and Tourism Industry in Central Florida.
Applications for the 2025 Leadership Mentoring Program, Class IV will be available in early 2025.Â
